Imam Hussain’s (AS) life a beacon light for humanity

Minister for Information Technology, Technical Education and Youth Services and Sports, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari today paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of Karbala and added that their sacrifices for truth would continue to guide humanity towards betterment.

 

 The Minister was speaking at a day-long remembrance function held to pay tributes to Karbala Martyrs on fourth-day of Muharram at Ashai Bagh Nigeen, in which thousands of devotees from different parts of the valley participated.

Ansari threw light on various aspects of Karbala tragedy. He urged the people to adhere to the teachings of Imam Hussain (AS) who sacrificed his life at the Karbala to awaken the people for truth and justice. He said that the Martyrs have set a shining example before us through their deeds, which will hold true forever.

He prayed for the welfare of the people and called for peace, tolerance and amity.

The remembrance function started with recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by elegies. Later, a procession was also carried out from Ashai Bagh Nigeen which culminated at Hassan Abad Hussaini Park, in which men, women and children participated.
